Our story
Founded in 1921
Reliability and good business acumen have been key values for Haagensen since the company’s founding in Latvia in 1921
Although Danish by origin, Gunnar Haagensen established his company in Riga in the 1920s, recognizing the region’s potential. He set up production of wooden bodies for the Ford Model A at our two factories.
Already in the 1920s, Gunnar Haagensen conducted extensive trade from the business in Riga, but with the establishment of A/S Gunnar Haagensen in Denmark in the 1940s, the company found the stable framework that has shaped it since.
Thanks to a keen ability to combine good business with steady development, the company has been able to keep up with the demands of the times and today stands as a modern, dynamic company with many dedicated and competent employees.
The current company headquarters was inaugurated in 1985 and expanded in 1990 to the present 1,200 square meters, housing management, administration, and warehouse.
The customer is the focus, and Haagensen goes to great lengths to secure the right product at the right time and price
– this remains the same core principle that Gunnar Haagensen set in motion many decades ago.
Strong focus on solutions, gaskets, and seals
Our components are most often used in the hydraulics, machinery, process, offshore, and food & pharma industries, each with its specific components for the respective field. In addition, we also accommodate our customers with other items so they can consolidate their purchases in one place.
With an inventory of over 25,000 item numbers, we can deliver most standard products from day to day, and all orders received before 3:30 PM are shipped the same day.
With our many years in the market, we can offer our partners the know-how required to find, design, or produce the right component. We provide framework agreements for call-offs under agreed conditions, making it easy and transparent for both parties.
Logistics has always been a top priority for us, meaning we can offer the right products at the right price. This is why, to this day, we work with some of Denmark’s largest companies and have done so for many years.
